The English Department Test Portal is a specialized digital assessment platform designed to streamline the examination process for language studies. By automating question delivery and grading, the system provides a more efficient and objective testing environment for both faculty and students.

Assessment & Examination Modules

• Dynamic Question Bank: Supports a variety of question formats including Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), fill-in-the-blanks, and short-answer prompts tailored for English language proficiency.
• Automated Evaluation Engine: Features an instant-grading logic for objective questions, providing students with immediate feedback and reducing the faculty's workload.
• Timed Examination Security: Implements server-side countdown timers and tab-switch detection to maintain academic integrity during the assessment period.
• Performance Analytics: Generates automated result sheets and class-wide performance summaries, allowing the department to identify areas where students need more support.

Technical Framework

Frontend: Developed with a minimalist, distraction-free UI using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript to ensure students remain focused on the exam content.
Backend: Powered by Python and Flask, managing secure session tokens and question randomization for each student.
Database: Utilizes MongoDB for flexible storage of question sets and secure encryption of student scorecards.
